Knowledge Scientist

The team Causality Biomodels is searching young researchers for strengthening our team in the fields of biological data integration, knowledge curation and terminology management/development.

Scientific research and development work in the company focuses on the following areas:

  • Terminology management in the field of biomedicine and medical informatics.

  • Construction and use of ontologies and terminologies in projects.

  • Building knowledge graphs and computable disease models.

  • Biological data curation.

  • Information extraction from scientific sources.

The Requirements are:

  • Successfully completed master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or Biotechnology.  M.tech and B.tech graduates may also apply, provided they have a strong interest in cellular and molecular biology of diseases.

  • Knowledge of neuro-degenerative or psychiatric disorders is an advantage, but not required.

  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate in international projects with industrial and academic partners.

  • Very strong English skills (verbal and written).

  • Academic record of scientific publications is a plus.

  • Willingness to publish research results in journals and represent research and development work at international conferences and workshops.

  • Your personal strengths include initiative and dedication.

  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourselves with new problems and tasks as well as formulate solutions.

  • Systematic, independent and result-oriented working methods.

  • A high degree of flexibility, teamwork and communication skills.
