He Founded Causality Biomodels in 2018 and since has been steadily transforming it into a key player in the scientific knowledge management and research sector in life sciences.
Jossin leverages on his many years of experience in software engineering and strategic business management to lead a team of scientists, informaticians and software developers to deliver innovative solutions to questions in biological knowledge management.
Outside work: An ardent admirer of nature, he can be found hiking or trail biking during his free time.

Dr. Alpha Tom Kodamullil
Chief Scientific Officer
Alpha has a PhD in Computational Biology from University of Bonn, Germany. She is the recipient of the renowned Hugo Geiger Prize 2018 of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, Germany for the best doctoral thesis. Alpha has also published many high-ranking international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Alpha has many years of experience in bioinformatics, especially in the field of big data analysis and knowledge mining in neurodegenerative diseases. She is a pioneer in computable modeling of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease. Also working as a scientist at Fraunhofer SCAI, Germany, Alpha is also involved in many research projects and collaborations with European and US partners.
Outside work: In her free time, Alpha loves to spend her time with family and her dogs.
Alpha works on liaising with customers and supporting projects at Causality Biomodels.
Dr. Shounak Baksi
Chief Scientific Manager
Shounak has a Master’s in Biotechnology from the University of Calcutta winning a research fellowship from the Indian National Science Academy.
He has a Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, India and postdoctoral fellowships from Case Western Reserve University, USA and Karolinska Institute, Sweden.
Shounak has 10+ years of experience in molecular neurobiology, cell biology, biophysics, and systems biology, working in multicultural teams from across the globe. He also has many acclaimed certifications on various topics in biology including the certification on Biomedical Research Data Management from Harvard Medical School & National Institute of Health, Laboratory Animal Science for Researcher from the Karolinska Institute and Future Faculty Certification from the Case Western Reserve University. He has also authored many high ranking international scientific articles.
Outside work: He loves coffee, landscape and street photography, hiking and reading books from different countries.
Shounak focuses on the scientific and technical program at Causality Biomodels.
Dr. Geena Mariya jose
Geena has a PhD. in Biochemistry from the University of Kerala, India.
She is the recipient of 'Research Fellowship in Science for Meritorious Students' by University Grants Commission, India and has bagged several awards in national and international seminars including the ‘young researcher award’
Geena has pedagogical experience as a lecturer for students from the graduate and postgraduate levels and is also the author of many publications in peer reviewed international journals.
Outside work: She enjoys listening to music and trying out indian recipes during her spare time.
Geena leads a dynamic team of Knowledge scientists at Causality Biomodels and manages projects for the development team.
